All the bedding and free floating won't fix a carboned up chamber... no more that adding new rims with bad tires.
Sorry I forgot to mention that I did get some cleaner and let it set for 10 minutes like it recommended. I then ran the bore snake through it 5 times. I then ran a q tip into the chamber and keep cleaning until the q tip no longer had any discoloration. Then ran the snake from chamber to muzzle again.

I will go get the hopes today and let it set for a few hours like stated in that thread tonight though.

From that picture it looks like the stocks 2 inch long raised pad at stocks muzzle end has been removed... This would cause the vertical stringing in your groups... Its a shame because the Ruger 10/22 Target stock is very good and was worth about $130....

One other small piece of advice. Only change or modify one thing at a time. That allows you to evaluate the effect it had on your groups, rather than making multiple alterations at once and not knowing what specifically caused any different results. This practice can save you time and $$$. Ask me how I know.��
