eBay item number:273745980573.

Absolutely ludicrous amount 'paid'(?),$870 for an S-130 and a front sight!!!!!!!
All after numerous ridiculous bids by bidders with 0 feedback and 1 feedback one after another with one bidder somehow raising his own ridiculously high bids one atop the last etc.
Something really funky is going on there.
I'm saving it to see how it pans out later, but something is rotten and really wrong about this auction, false bidders and/or who knows what all.

It pays to be a conscientious shopper, I always shop price on anything I buy. There are some rip-off artist sellers at other sires too, notably Amazon.

I paid $250 for my front and rear Mossberg sights and they came attached to a complete 144LSB, hand stop and sight inserts in the little orange tin.

From what I see on the bid history there were 2,MAYBE 3 honest bidders, one being me.

I think it was
A,someone's scheme to drive the price of this sight to astronomically ludicrous price levels or
B, maybe someone has a lot of parts and is looking to drive all the prices up or
C, just some persons joke/prank/hack for whatever reason.

Whomever was behind it we'll probably never know, but odds are these parts will be listed for sale on eBay again soon as I highly doubt anyone is really going to pay that amount for these sights.
I'm gonna wait and see.

You should have kept bidding, you might have won.

I messaged the seller and he lamely stated the high bidder mistakenly bid in excess of $9000.00 for the sights,Yeah, right, but that still doesn't explain how that bidder's bids kept raising when no one else was bidding against them.
The sights were relisted and did sell for an overly high price of $132.
I still think there was some funny business involved in the first auction, like ghost bidders trying to jack up the selling price.
I guess we'll never know for certain exactly what the story was.

There's a ton of stuff like that going on on eBay. I see items every day, just to use an example, something you could buy at any store in the world for $100 max. Then you see them listed for $800 with 57 already sold. It can't possibly be true. It's even worse now that they are letting people selling items from China list that they are US sellers and letting them use a US address, even though the items are still shipped from China.

It frosts me when I see people selling Wisner's Winchester 52/69/75 magazines for $35 and $40 AND charging for shipping when Wisner's sells them for $20 apiece. Unfortunately people don't know better and are shelling out good money and overpaying.
Lot's of stuff for sale on ebay is way overpriced.I recently saw someone selling a Mossberg bolt wanting $189 buy it now,his Mossberg peep sights were priced similarly.Worse yet is the rest of the yahoos see something sell for a ridiculously high price like that and they bump their prices skyhigh.
With all that going on the times a fella can catch a break and get a needed part for a reasonable price are few and far between.

A lot of dreamers on all selling sites, looking for a prime sucker.
...Or a lot of guys that want to think that they have very valuable inventory.

I even see currently manufactured stuff, with five guys offering an item at fair price or reasonable price, (within 10-15% of each other), but there is always someone who thinks their identical item should bring twice that amount.

On May 23,2000 the Feds and the Chicago Police came in and confiscated TWENTY NINE beautiful collector grade rifles and shotguns of mine as well as all my ammo, magazines, gun parts and even my knife and bayonet collection. What hurt the most is they took my beautiful 1955 H&R M1 Garand which still is my very favorite of all the firearms I've ever had. They also took thousands of rounds of the same lot number Lake City ammo the Garand loved.Every time I went to a gun show I bought every single round of that lot number ammo I could find.My Garand was correct right down to the drawing numbers.
And it was later proven in court it was over some BS that was never illegal in the first place!
Is it any wonder why I got the heck out of Chicago when I retired?

And the sad part is you never saw your stuff again , am i right? this is why I get cranky over all the gun form guys that don't belong to any org. that defends thier sport otr rights . Just start noticing how many are not NRA or GOA members.~~JMJ~~
