Avoiding the crap shoot of getting an accurate rifle, well, good luck with that. I used to shoot a little BR, and I would occasionally get a custom barrel for my custom rifle that wouldn't shoot, so I have a $500 tomato stake! To the OP, I think your consideration of Anschutz is reasonable, probably a better than average chance of getting one that shoots. Nothing wrong with a 64 action, but I believe you should think about which model is easiest to shoot well. Trigger and stock design have a lot to do with it. The MPR recommended above might better suit your needs. You might get a 1416 that shoots great, but, a lighter rifle with a heavier trigger is more challenging.
