any suggestion for a good budget scope/ring combination for this .22lr rifle?
Perhaps more importantly, what elevated ring did you use to mount the scope so that we can still use the flip-up sights if needed?
Thanks in advance.

I tried mounting a scope on mine with extra high rings and it was low and get a crappy cheek weld. On my centerfire ARs i used UTG Super Slim picatinny .75 risers and they worked great. Can't remember the ring height but I used Burris Weaver rings. UTG has two styles of risers and the Super Slim is the best looking and rugged.

For budget AR height rings, I'd go with the Aero Precision one piece mount.

I wouldn't mess with anything that is going to allow you to use the flip ups underneath, the optic would be ridiculously high. I just put a set of Magpul 45 degree offsets on mine so I can use irons with the optic still mounted.

Thank you both for your experiences.
i think i will look into the UTG mounts first as the Aero Precision is well over my budget.
