32 long shotshells with wooden bullets

I'm looking for information about a box of Rem. U.M.C. 32 long shot. The box is red with rounded corners ( I believe it's from about 1911-1915 ). Other than that I don't have much. It is a full but opened box. Any help would be appreciated.

Can't really help but the .32long was used as a homesteaders only gun for many years, Marlin 92's mostly, but a lot of pistols too.

I have a handful of old lead 32 longs from the 30s-40s but never heard of wood bullets. You might find them on http://www.cartridge-corner.com/welcome.htm

Wood boolits?? Hardwood better for big game? It gives a new meaning of barking squirrels off a tree. People were as goofy then as now it seems.

If they are shotshell's then I would think the wooden bullets hold the pellets and are made thin in order to break apart going down the barrel like CCI's shotshell's do.
I've never seen these so it's just a guess.

Wood "bullets" have been used in shot loads for over a hundred years. They are also used in blanks.

Do you have a picture of the box?
