Does anyone stock RWS .22 Magnum Ammunition here in the USA, all my searches come up dry. Plan B is to order a couple of cases directly from Anschutz North America since they already directly import RWS .22 Long Rifle and Centerfire ammo.

I also have searched in vain for the RWS--I have less than 1000 rounds left that are 20+ years old

Good Luck

Jim

Update on the RWS .22 Magnum availability, or lack thereof. I spoke with Anschutz North America and they can order this from RWS directly. They will not be placing another order with them for several more months as they just did receive a large quantity of standard .22 LR ammo, all of this comes via Seafreight. Minimum order quantity for them is One Case, I've asked for general pricing information at today's exchange rates. If anyone else wants to get on their list, you can contact Danny Spann, Phone (205) 655-7500, email address: [email protected].

Champion Shooters in Utica Ohio, formerly New Albany, Oh used to stock the RWS .22 Mag ammo but quit when the importer stopped bringing in the US due to the high cost. It is high quality ammo. My Anschutz and VG1 Volquartsen like it the best of any 40 g ammo.
Did the importer give any idea of the cost per box? Last time I bought some (many years ago) I paid just over $20.00/box. I am guessing the cost now will be $40.00 to $50.00 /box.
Thanks!
Jim

I can't do a case worth, but I'd be in for a brick or two.

When I indicated that a minimum order for them was one case, that's what they would have to order from RWS. If I were the only one who wanted this ammo, then I would have to take a whole case but if they decided to bring in two cases, then you could order a minimum of a brick for yourself out of the second case. Sorry for the confusion.

Hard to justify the cost.

The last time I saw RWS 22 mag on the shelf locally was over 10 years ago and it was over $20 a box then. Most guys simply aren't interested in it for that reason when domestic ammo can be had for$12 a box or less. I realize the quality may be a lot better, but it probably won't shoot 2 or 3 times better in most rifles. I would suggest Winchester Supreme 34 grain if you can find some. rc

RWS .22 Magnum Ammo Stock Update: Several Cases of RWS .22 Magnum Ammo have been ordered from RUAG by Anschutz North America and should be delivered around the end of 2018. Both FMJ and Soft Point Ammo versions are on order. In case lots, a single box of 50 rounds is about $28.00, less than case lots it's around $35.00 as I recall.

Cheers,

George Jr.

RWS ammo

Hard to get interested in this RWS ammo when Iím shooting 40gr HP Armscor ammo at approx 70.00 a brick. The Armscor shoots around an inch or a little less at 100yds out of my Marlin 883 with a early American made 4x12 Burris scope. I might get interested at 20.00 a box for several boxes but at 28.00 to 35.00 a box of 50 ...it can sit in Germany.

Should be here in Jan. 19

Anschutz North America told me to contact them in early Jan, about 4 more weeks and they should have it in by then but they cautioned that it would be expensive. But who cares? Nobody will plink with it and so what if it's the same as centerfire? Loaded with the same care and precision it naturally will cost close to centerfire prices. You get it to push the envelope on the .22 magnum and to see what you can wring out of it accuracy wise.
