Other than being on the pricey side, any experience with this ammo to pass on? Pros, or cons?

pricey, if you can find it, but also the most accurate .22WMR I have ever shot.

It's manufactured by CCI then labeled Remington.
Does not appear to be in production at this time.
Been looking to test some at 200 yards but no luck finding any.

It certainly didn't live up to my expectations, a local sporting goods store had 3 boxes at $22.95, I bought them and hurried home, I took model 57M Cooper JSR and a CZ 452 American to the bench. Both rifles shot the Hornady 30 grain Vmax better. I tried them in a 9422M Winchester, it liked the CCI 40 grain solids better.

Maybe I got a bad lot, but I won't buy anymore.

They are my preferred load for shooting short range called 'cats with my Remington 597. Not particularly accurate, but what .22 MAG ammo is?

Still listed on Remington's website https://www.remington.com/ammunition...remier-rimfire
I think it's a popularity thing...not that popular so a lot of dealers just don't stock it.
Where I live (Edmonton, Canada) it does sell well. I can walk into just about any of our local gun purveyors and find it. Bought 5 boxes just two weeks ago.
It and the Hornady V-Max are the two rounds my Savage really likes. I tend to buy mostly the Hornady because here the Hornady is $20/box, the Remingon close to $30 (this of course in Canadian $$).

I would love to
Was already to start the 50 @ 100 challange when some health issues came up about a month ago that are finally clearing up and hoping to get a clean bill of health on New Years Eve.
I'll be game after that.

Haven't seen any around here for years, and found about 20 boxes at my grocers today. $24.95 a box was more than I'm willing to pay and I still have a few boxes left. Just thought it was funny the only place I've seen them for so long was at the grocery store.

I recently used my last of them and won't bother again should I run into anymore!
They are reluctant expanders on game such as fox. Nothing out standing accuracy wise from my cz.
Federal v shok, hornady v max, CCI +v, s&b ammo all much better.

Toured the Remington museum the summer in Ilion, NY. Picked up their 2018 master catalog as well as Marlin's and AAC. There is no mention of the 22WMR ammo in the ammo section nor a part number in any listing. Suspect what you guys who are finding the ammo are simply getting old ammo.
For the record when it first came out it shot fantastic in my Ruger VBZ in 22Mag so al least early on it was good stuff.

It shot in the .3's at 50yds with my Annie 1720 hb before I sold it years ago...so for me too it was good stuff. Since I only hunt and a little plinking with my maggies, it's not worth $20+ for me.
