It will be interesting to hear their analysis of your problem. I shot competition for many years with rimfire handguns and rifles and never saw a barrel "shoot out". I, myself shot a couple of guns over a hundred-thousand rounds and they still shot good at that point. I can't even imagine what kind of material they'd be using in a barrel that would wear out in a mere thousand rounds. Please let us know what Henry says about this.

I've had many Henry rifles. Most have been great guns with no issues. I did buy a new Frontier a couple of years ago that had two deep scratches running down the entire length of the bore. I discovered them before ever firing the gun, and my dealer replaced it with a new gun that had a perfect bore.

As far as Henry Magnums "shooting out at 1500 rounds", I'm skeptical. 22 Mag is not a high velocity round, and velocity is what kills barrels. Even very high velocity rifles, over 3000fps, don't shoot out that fast.
