And you said it in duplicate so we agreed twice sic we agreed twice.

These are not new production scopes. I was calling about handgun scopes Friday and when I asked how many they had left.......140 we bought everything. This is how rumors get started.

That rep was mistaken.

No. That rep is not mistaken.
You click the link in the first post to go to weavers website and it shows optics.
Exclusively available at Natchez.
This is how rumors get started. According to some on this thread , Weaver has opened shop again with a new line of scopes.
Or Bushnell is now producing a new line of weaver scopes.
Every Weaver scope on Weavers website points to ( Exclusively available at Natchez)
You might also note that there is no ( Buy it) or ( Add to cart) buttons For any of the Weaver scopes on this Weaver site.

I didn't see where anyone mentioned Weaver may have opened shop again and started producing scopes (unless I missed it). They couldn't have done that unless Vista Outdoors was producing them under the Weaver name. I'd say it's more likely that it was a new line or possibly another Natchez exclusive line that Weaver started producing but never made it to market before they closed up shop. If that was the case then the Natchez guy could be correct that they bought them from Weaver. Either way it's not a scope that Weaver had ever sold.

If you go to the first page and click on the second link (the one for the Weaver website) then scroll to the bottom and click you will see Bushnell and a bunch of other companies shown. If you click on "Privacy Policy" you will see that it is actually Vista Outdoors, the company that bought Weaver. So while they may be being sold under the Weaver name it is through Vista Outdoors. Not sure why Vista Outdoors would start a new website to advertise a scope that was sold to Natchez before they took possession of the company? I believe Natchez bought all the one's that were available, I just think the rep you spoke to was mistaken as to who they may have bought them from.

Ok, I looked into this, this morning. The rep I spoke to was not wrong. Natchez did buy remaining Weaver stock.
What he failed to mention is that Vista has now started new production , using the Weaver name. This information came from Natchez shooters. These are indeed new production rifle scopes being manufactured by Vista under the Weaver name.
In a way the OP was correct.

As far as Vista is concerned, "Bushnell" and "Weaver" are just marketing names. I have two Weaver 40/44 scopes that were sold as "Bushnell Custom Gold" scopes before Vista decided to kill the Weaver name and go with Bushnell. I am sure that these new Weaver scopes are just some relatively cheap China made scopes that Vista has decided to market under the Weaver name. I am not a scope snob and they might actually be decent scopes for the money but don't get caught up in trying to make sense of the "reappearance" of the "Weaver" name.
