I saw that you were the only one who shot this last month. I'm impressed.

I tried this today and my best target was a 35. All but one of my targets had unscorable shots that fell outside the 6 ring.

Just got back from the Silhouette Nationals in Ridgway PA. and I wanted to drop in here to give credit to this match for helping me be prepared for the big show.

It was my first trip to the Nationals and I shot really well for myself, keeping all my scores higher than my usual average score. I managed to place in a few of the individual matches and even came in 5th and 4th place in the aggregate scores for my class.

I hope to get back into the swing of things for this match now that all the big matches are done for the year for me.

Congrats Allen. I agree, this game helps quite a bit improving marksmanship. Ive never shot much as far as rifle goes. Im more of a bow shooter and shot IHMSA for many years but this rimfire stuff is starting to get in my blood.

Maybe the first time I have tried this rifle in this. Still I should have broken 200.

Saturday 25 yard iron sight practice 8/10/2019
Scores: 464-11X two 7s, five 8s I had a friend score this target and he said I had a double in the 8 ring which would make it a 462-11X but I refuse to believe I have 2 bullets in the same hole in the 8 ring.
467-9X five 8s
Name: 72coupe/Roy Woodman/71
Gun: RPRF
Setup: Good iron sights/bloop tube/47products single load try.
Ammo: Federal Automatch.
Notes: Nice day for shooting outdoors wind 17 miles per hour, 99 when I quit and quite humid. The wind sounded higher than 17 through my Walker ear muffs but the weather station which is within sight of the range said it was 17.

I will try again tomorrow.

Practice run, 50 yards scoped

DATE: Aug 10, 2019
SCORE: 198
NAME: pneumaniatic
LOCATION: ON, Canada
GUN: Anschutz 1712
GUN SETUP: Leupold 3-9 EFR (set at 3x)
AMMO: RWS Target Rifle

Tricky wind conditions today, with persistent gusts that would last 5-10 minutes. I got impatient waiting and paid for it more than a few times

Had been trying out the "silhouette" or "10m air rifle" hold with as much bone on bone support as possible, but finding it's impossible to stay on target in windy conditions. Today, having my support hand all the way forward on the fore-end felt much more stable in the wind, and helps get a shot away quickly when things calm for a moment.
