Super nice pistols, everyone!. A 1977 5 1/2" (or whatever it is) Standard Auto was my first handgun, which I still have. A lot of lead has passed through it's bore. About 10 years ago, I added a thumb-rest wood gripped, mid 70s Mark 1 to my 22LR barn. That one has a nice custom trigger job. It is interesting to see so many variations of the design in 1 thread, and now here is my contribution: I have wanted 1 of these since I was a teen, long ago now. Well you never really know what you're going to stumble across do you? This one recently sort of fell in to my lap, at a price I could not refuse. It's solidly 96-97%, has been shot very little, previously owned by the chief of police in a small NH town. No box, but the original brochure-manual came with it, 1950. A magazine for the gun is $3. This is not an early red eagle, it numbers close to the end of red eagle production, but still it IS one! Every Ruger gun in this thread started with this version, the original Standard Auto. As I am sure everyone probably knows, this is the first version of the very first gun Sturm-Ruger made.

This is my Ruger 22/45 Lite MKIII build, I have upgraded it with mostly Tandemkross parts. Not a race gun for me, but I shoot often and I love how smooth and reliable these parts make the gun for me.

-Tandemkross Hammer Bushing
-Tandemkross Kanewolf Slingshot Bolt Release
-Tandemkross Victory Flat-face Textured Trigger (LOVE THIS THING!)
-Tandemkross Halo Bolt Racker (LOVE THIS THING TOO!)
-Tandemkross Extended Mag Release
-Tandemkross Titanium Firing Pin
-Tandemkross Eagles Talon Extractor
-Tandemkross LCI Replacement Insert
-Tandemkross Game Changer Compensator
-Tandemkross Extended Mag Bumpers
-Burris Fastfire II Red Dot Sight
-Volquartsen Hammer and Sear
-Hogue 22/45 Textured Grips
-Stainless 22/45 Grip Screws
-McFadden Ultimate Cliploader
-BlackDog 22/45 Red Dot Holster

Just got my MK III back from the gunsmith. I had Mad Custom in Lillington, NC thread my barrel, relocate the front sight and make a thread protector for it.

New 22/45

Picked this up a few days ago and put in the following:

Tandemkross Victory trigger
Tandemkross Kane Wolf slingshot kit
Tandemkross hammer bushing
Tandemkross extended magazine release
Volquartsen sear
Volquartsen disconnector
Sarona Gun Works extractor

Optic is a Vortex Viper and the suppressor is a Gemtech GM-22. Still deciding if I'm going with G10 grips or the Hogue finger groove variety.

I finally completed my self made MkIII 22/45. I used a PacLite upper, stock grip frame with a Tandemkross Victory trigger, VC target sear and hammer bushing, Tandemkross extended mag release, Majestic Arms slingshot Auto bolt release. I did my own grip mod and added Stoner CNC G10 grips. It is topped off with a Vortex Venom 3moa red dot. So far it has been a great shooter and it gets looks when I'm shooting it on the range. I'm still on the fence about adding a compensator, but if I do it will probably be the Tandemkross model.

Heres a pic of my 22/45 lite. I bought this guy right after they hit the market. It has almost all of the Tandemkross/VQ upgrades at this point and shoots like a champ. It took some getting used to with the Burris FF3, but now I can't image shooting it without that or the can!
