Does anyone have a source for a simple yet decent quality double diamond wood (preferably walnut) grip for the mkiii 22/45? They won't take 1911 grips...found out the hard way.

actually they will take 1911 grips , all you have to do is take a sharp knife and trim out abut 1/8" of wood where the bold hold open button is located. Just look at a Ruger 22/45 lite grips and you will see where to trim.

Absolutely. Note that the Ruger grips are very thin, and the bushings are the very low kind. If you get wider grips, you'll want to swap in normal bushings so you have enough thread engagement from the grip screws.
