Brimstone Trigger for T/C R22

I asked the guys at Brimstone about doing a trigger job on the T/C R22 trigger, last week.
Here's the reply I received today......

"Hi Jeron,

Yes, I actually just did trigger work on one a few days ago. Our BX trigger blade will work, and we can only do a BX-style job on them.
However, they only come down to about 2lbs and don't end up quite as crisp as the Ruger triggers.
The sear and disconnector will have a bit of side to side play in the trigger blade but it does not affect the trigger pull.
If you'd like to have that done, just order it as a BX job. Thanks, Will"

Looks like I'll be running a Brimstoned Ruger trigger for a couple of weeks, while the T/C trigger gets worked over.

It'll most likely be right at, or just under, 2 lbs.

I'll let everyone know, when it comes back.

The trigger came back from Brimstone today, and I think they did a great job on it.

1lb 12oz is a little bit lighter than what I'm used to, but I can certainly learn to live with it, at that weight.

Has about 1/16" of pre-travel to the wall, then a very clean break.

Chose to go with the OD Green Cerakoted trigger blade, to match the stock.

Looking forward to testing it out on Sunday.....

Ran about 200 rounds through the T/CR22, after lunch today.

The trigger performed flawlessly.

I prefer the flat blade on the Brimstone triggers, to the OEM curved ones on the R22 and 10/22.

Very happy with it.

Very nice! I ordered a TCR 22 today.

If it’s anywhere near the configuration you want, you can’t beat it for the price.

Cheaper than the cheapest 10/22 plus a Magnum stock

Cheaper than Magnum stock, Brownells receiver, and any combination of parts to complete.

We may have the first two of these rifles in Arkansas... LOL.

Auto-correct is NOT your friend! Looks like Magnum is the new Magpul.

Congratulations, I'm sure you will enjoy it.

I love it. I prefer them at 2 to 2.25lbs myself, but with this one at 1.75lbs, I just have to be a little more cautious. No complaints here.
You might ask the guys at Brimstone if they can shoot for a specific pull weight.
I bet they'll be willing to accommodate you.

Iíll do that. If they canít, Iím probably going to put a Ruger trigger group in it then wait and see what the aftermarket comes up with for the T/C. I already have a pile of 10/22 mags, so I doubt i will be buying any TCR mags.

I stuck a 4-12x scope on it last night, for accuracy testing. Maybe the rain will hold off and I can get to the range tomorrow.

I sent my TCR trigger to Brimstone a couple of days ago. I went with the Razorback color for the trigger.

I tore the trigger all apart to clip the trigger return spring a little. Good lord, that was a mistake. Iíve built at least a dozen AR-15s and figured I could handle it. I absolutely could NOT keep the trigger, disconnector, dear and spring together to get it down inside the trigger housing. I finally gave up and contacted Brimstone.

I am really loving the Magpul stock. I also recently picked up a 10/22T with the factory bull barrel. Itís a shooter, but the stock sucks for shooting off the bench. I would have never noticed it except that the Magpul on the TCR is 10x more comfortable.

I found another TCR stock online, and bought it. Iím thinking about ordering a KIDD sporter barrel and putting it on one of my 10/22s in the TCR Magpul stock.

So it's just another 10/22 copy?
