10/22..Magnum...Charger?

Gotta be someone out there that's built a Charger from one of these.

Lets see it, who's done this? Is it a money-sink, gimme some details.

I’ve built one of them into a regular rifle but not a charger. Once you got the receiver completed it would only take what ever barrel and stock you wanted to use. Then some time tuning the action to the barrel any load you wanted to shoot. Mine is setup with a bull barrel

Did you start from an 80%? I've been looking for parts and really considering taking up this up as a project.

I do have a Charger converted to .17 HM2. Back before everybody panicked over the .17 cal conversions, I got ER Shaw to cut a .17 HM2 .920 barrel down to 12". After a bit of tuning with hammer and recoil springs, it shoots very well.

They state their receiver is stronger than a Ruger factory receiver, and I don't doubt that, but it is aluminum. The 10/22M receivers were steel.

I do have a 10/22M rifle converted to .17 HMR. It has a Clark Custom barrel and is very accurate. Maybe Fedderson will cut a barrel down for you.

Please NO!!! Not officially from Ruger anyway. That abortion of a pistol cost us our magazines that hold more than 10 rounds up in Canada. Rimfire rifles are unlimited capacity, but because pistols are limited to 10 shots, the mags must be pinned.

I'm quite enjoying the 15 round RPR magazine in my 10/22M and don't care to lose that.

You've got lots entities in Canada other than Ruger to blame for that.
