No magnum but.............
I do have a Charger converted to .17 HM2. Back before everybody panicked over the .17 cal conversions, I got ER Shaw to cut a .17 HM2 .920 barrel down to 12". After a bit of tuning with hammer and recoil springs, it shoots very well.
They state their receiver is stronger than a Ruger factory receiver, and I don't doubt that, but it is aluminum. The 10/22M receivers were steel.
I do have a 10/22M rifle converted to .17 HMR. It has a Clark Custom barrel and is very accurate. Maybe Fedderson will cut a barrel down for you.
