Range report. Back on firing line after replacing bolt sleeve and extractors. Shots nicely. Very light trigger. No creep. Movement to a wall. Hit a few chickens at 40 m off hand. Groups nicely at 50yds! Cheapo no model name Bushnell. Neat gun! No it is not “collectible”. photo 2 is.

How did you mount the scope?

I did not mount the base. Holes are drilled and tapped in receiver. Sits a little high for stock comb cheek weld.

Nice! My brother sporterized his MAS several years ago. I'm pretty sure he still has it

Looks similar to a stock model. Other than the scope, what did you do to sporterize it?

Scope base is thoughtfully attached with a 1/4-28 allen head cap screw in front receiver ring

Iím curious if anybody has ever tricked out one these MAS 45ís for bench competition. Iím talking a match barrel, rework receiver and bolt as needed, trigger, new stock etc. and if so how did it work out. These little Mauser actions have a lot going for them so they seem kind of a natural
