Value of MarkII unfired

Log in to see fewer ads
I just picked up a MarkII tapered barrel from an estate sale. It is supposedly unfired and it sure looks like it. Not a mark, scratch, muzzle wear or anything. It didnt come with a box but I can easily get one on ebay.

So my questions:
What would be the value unfired?
Should I just use it?

Depends on whether there is another model you'd rather shoot. Someone might be more willing to trade a more desirable model for a MKII standard taper that is, or even just appears to be unused or little used.

4.75 or six inch barrel?

yes

I think zukiphile has a great take on this one. If you do not have any of these, which model would you most like to own? A trade in that direction for it would bring the most satisfaction.

It that was mine & I could trade it for a lightly used Target model, I'd do that in a heartbeat & then head to the range.
Maybe tricky to find the right person for doing the trade, is all.

This is my thoughts as well. My all-time favorite is a 5.5 inch heavy bbl Target. Just throwing that in as my favorite, yours may be something else.

not a rare or highly collectable gun and with out box or paper work, just shoot it ! Unfired ? Not sure that would make a lot of difference ? I would shoot it . may be worth 300-350 ?

Exactly. Depending on where you live, this could be a reason to go to a gun show.

I've been looking for the barrel on one of these, and if you were local to me I'd see what you'd like better. In terms of your own convenience finding someone local to you who collects and shoots these would be the way to go.

These nice MKIIs prices look good when you think about it compared to a new MKIV lite that looks like a pop can shot with holes!

You just bought it... Maybe start with, ‘I paid xxx for this, is it worth that?’
