Bass Pro...You can order them on-line. 16.99 + shipping. Or order them direct from Savage.

Just called Savage, got 3 more 10rd mags for 13each plus shipping. Came out to 47 and some change. Iduno when they will ship though, probably faster then the gun shop will get the one I ordered 2 weeks ago.

thanks for the help!!

Savage Mags are hard to find now days. Walmarts are my area doesn't have any. It's probably just easier to order from Savage and be done with it.

One of my local Walmarts stopped selling firearms. They clearenced all off their firearms items. They had 10 Mark II ten round magazines marked down to 7.00 each.

I don't have a Savage yet, but I have plenty of magazines!!!!!

Look around for other Walmarts doing the same. Some good deals can be had

I'm in cali, none of the walmarts here sells firearms or mags. Never seen a dicks sporting goods either. Next gun show I go to, I'll stock up a few more. I think the next one is early June.

Does Savage have a web site for ordering the 5 round magazines - or do you need to call Savage instead? I just looked at the savagearms.com site and didn't see anything?

Quick question. Are the 5 round magazines (for the MKII Savage) shorter in length than the 10 rounders? If so, how close are they to fitting flush with the stock? I'm guessing that even the 5 round mag will protrude out to the length of the mag release lever.
