Custom, purpose-built guns.

Got any? Please post pics.

This is a Crosman Trapmaster 1100 I put together. It's a low-power Co2 shotgun for exterminating rats at farms, without causing collateral damage. Started out looking like this...

Sorry for the sideways pics. I don't know how to fix that.

Home brewed guns........

This one started out life as a Winchester Model 1885 Winder Musket chambered for .22 short. By the time I bought it, the stock had been shortened and it had been reblued, ruining any collector value. So, I decided to make it a sporter, shortened the barrel a couple of inches, lined the barrel and chambered it for .22 magnum. I added the single set trigger bits and then whittled out a stock. The scope is a 6x24x50 with an adjustable objective lens. I can close my eyes, shoulder the rifle and be looking right down the scope bore! This package is quite accurate and can hold under a MOA at 100 yds! I built this gun almost 40 years ago and it has had a total of zero problems since then!

I need to sit down and try as and figure out the picture posting..

Have a 375 ruger specific to my eberlestock pack, a bit short and loud but it does the job.

Was public land calling coyotes with a 243ai and it was during elk dseason in Oregon. Boys in khakis gave me grief over not having a tag with a rifle over 223 cal. Built a humdinger of a 223wssm to attempt to equal the ai.

A ranch near me in college needed coyote culling as the state trapper had been excluded from that area due to politics. Built a 270 wsm to launch 100 grain accubonds. It has had multiple 1-4, or 1-8 scopes and a barrel short enough to swing it out the window of the ranch side by side. 18 inch barrel is a bit of a flame thrower but man was it effective.

Then there is the 500 smith and Wesson single shot as long as a chipmunk... that's awful to shoot.

Nice.

I have a Hopkins & Allen falling block .22 lr I need to reline. It was also completely refinished at some point, so not worth much. I was thinking about chambering it in .22 Mag, but thought maybe the cast iron receiver might not be able to handle the added breech thrust.

I may just ream out the rusty rifling to make it into a "garden gun" for .22 lr shotshells.

Neat! I may just have to steal your diamond plate idea.

Not that I'm an expert (sometimes my pics are posted sideways no matter how I edit to rotate them) but this is what I do...

Go down below the text window and click the "Manage Attachments" button under Additional Options when you're making a post and you can add pics directly from your computer.

I needed a feral hog rifle that allowed low light shooting. So a Bushnell TRS-25 red dot mounted to this Savage 24F 30-30 Winchester / 12 Gauge was the result.

Man Vee3, you made it really easy to attach a jpg. Much obliged for the instructions sir.

Just stumbled across this. Looks like a Ruger Mini.

Have a neighbor coming by tomorrow to sight in his new toy.
Defiance Action, Bartlein 26 in barrel, MDT ESS chassis and some ungodly expensive scope. Itís chambered in 6.5PRC. Pictures will follow.

This is a Remington Rolling block made around 1900 or so. It was originally a 7MM Mauser. It is now a .225 Winchester and was my ground hog gun when I lived in Pennsylvania. It was the first stock I made from blanks.

Rifle sighted in, anyone want 20 some odd pieces of 6.5 PRC Hornady once fired brass?
I was surprised at how easily this action cocked the firing pin.......sadly this rig cost more than my current ride.
He’s going for elk and mule deer @ 600 yards and beyond, at 800 yards this cartridge has more energy than a 300WinMag according to charts.
