Just bought 2,000 rounds of Aguila SV at ammoseek for my Nelson Conversion. Usually use CCI SV but the last time I saw any availableit it was $0.12 a round. Got the Aguila for $0.04. Just using it for plinking & informal target shooting. With my "old eyes" I'm sure it's good enough.

Well $2 a box is perfect deal for plinking ammo in this market. Aguila/SV is better than the average plinking ammo in my book (and rifles) but I have plenty of my fav's in stock or I'd consider the deal you found.

$6 for a box of CCI/SV is nuts... but if you, or your rifle, is addicted to it and your stash is empty then that's that market too.

Don't get me wrong I shoot plenty of Aguilla SE SV out of my rimfire's. But I only use it for plinking and informal target shooting. Now that CCI SV isn't what it used to be the Aguilla is the best option. It's just not something I would shoot when I want to get the most accuracy out of one of my rifles.

Good Luck
While I strongly agree with Jaia about poorly manufactured and handled ammo not winning any contests, this has been on my mind also - I think there's a little room for 'what y'er rifle likes'.

I had a brick of Armscor SV with consistent driving band diameter of .221 and most of my Euro ammo comes in at .224. I'm not sure if this is enough to make a huge difference, but in some rifles it might.

My guns did not 'like' Armscor I'm pretty sure there were more factors than bullet diameter in that though - I'm going to focus on reasonably priced 'quality' ammo to find what my guns 'like' from now on.

If it makes any of you feel better, know that I just searched for 5.7x28 and the places that have it are charging over a dollar per round.

Went to the Cab's site just now. Stores may be OOS, but not for shipping. I just put 4 bricks in my cart (like I did last night) and held through the checkout process and was ready for payment. Hope folks who like it can get some.

Just wanted to say I love this stuff. I've bought 8 bricks in the past month for $27 each. Everything else seems to have dried up, but the local Gander just keeps getting cases of Aguila regularly. Ragged holes from my Ruger 10/22 and CZ 457 at 30 yd. Standard velocity means the crack is now a pop from a 24" barrel, which is nice as well.

How do you know they were not just 'virtual bricks'? Not saying they are or they aren't, but couldn't they take your order and then say there is a delay? Just wondering.

I've never had a problem with Cab's playing games like that... or any other online seller for that matter.

Ammo arrived today... that was fast.

I had it happen and a few months later they canceled altogether. I scratched them off my list of suppliers. It was not Cabelas.

Bass Pro did that to me, took my payment for the order and it was over two months before it arrived., never again, do not like them anyway, good excuse not to do business.
