Congrats on your new rifle!
I've always liked the Frontier models, but still haven't picked one up yet. Good thing you didn't get it at the regular price, because Gander appears to be about a hundred bucks higher than most.

Don't forget those pics that you owe us.

I think you will love your frontier no matter what you paid for it. :-) these are great little rifles, and Henry will treat you right if you ever have a problem.
Welcome to the Henry forum, if you have any questions let us know, and most of all, enjoy!

My nearest Cabelas is 130 miles from my House. My gas cost to drive a 260 mile round trip to Chicago would be prohibitive to buy a firearm or anything else. I bought my H001M from BPS in June 2012 and I probably overpaid by maybe $40-$50. I ordered one from my LGS in Jan 2012 and near the end of June they still had no promise date. So I started calling Sports Stores and other LGS. BPS was the only one in the area that had the H001M, so I beat path to their Store and bought it.

With the price of ammo these days, it is only a few boxes worth on the price spread. The OP has his rifle in his hands with a minimum of driving, gas and perhaps tolls. Good deal as far as I am concerned.

I shot about 150 rounds yesterday through my grand daughter's Frontier. A hoot to shoot.

Yeah GM is a little more, but its local and i have a GM card, and i got the 6 months no intrest. I will post a pic as soon as i can. Wonder if the XS Ghost Rings rear sight that they use on the 45-70 could be put on the frontier.

We would typically go once a year - "pack the car" (3-4 people), so to speak.

Perfect star pattern at the muzzle when I cleaned it, too.

You did good...I recently paid 398.00 + 10% tax + 30.00 for the background check in San Diego...and it is well worth every penny of that....except for the part that goes to the state.
