Thank you, it won't be good enough for top spot, but for me it is very near my potential, and that's what we're doing here.

Pretty happy with this one. Not used to shooting in the cold. Will have more time to shoot since
I finally got my buck for the year. As long as the weather cooperates.

**********25 YD IRONS ENTRY ********* 11/16/19

SCORE: 455-7X
NAME: Purple Bikerr (60)
LOCATION: Blue River Gun Club- Blue River, Wis
GUN: CZ 452 Super BRNO 2500

Mmmm....A 99 with irons. I can't do that with a 24x scope. Wind was nonexistent, temps in the upper 30's, sunny. Wish I knew what I did right on that 99. Lucky, I guess.

Only one set of each today. Weather was beautiful; sunny, 50's and 60's, with almost no wind.

**** 25-YARD SCOPE ENTRY **** 11-17-19

SCORE: 488-17X
NAME: acorneau (Allen Corneau)
LOCATION: Bayou Rifles, Houston
GUN: Anschutz 1710
SCOPE: Leupold/Premier at ~20X
AMMO: SK Rifle Match
INDIV TGTS SCORES: 96-4X, 98-2X, 98-3X, 99-5X, 97-3X

I had two shots on two different bulls that were on the outer edge of the 9-ring (mostly in the 8-ring), otherwise most were pretty good shots.

**** 50-YARD SCOPE ENTRY **** 11-17-19

SCORE: 231-2X
NAME: acorneau (Allen Corneau)
LOCATION: Bayou Rifles, Houston
GUN: Anschutz 1710
SCOPE: Leupold/Premier at ~30X
AMMO: SK Rifle Match
INDIV TGTS SCORES: 46-1X, 45, 46, 46, 48-1X

My very first shot on the first bull was an X. It just messes with your head! My last bull was four 10's and an 8, otherwise kept all the shots in the 8-ring or better.

These might end up being my entries for the month, it just depends if I have a Silhouette match next weekend or not.

Wow,just wow.Allen, can you tell us how you are classed in silhouette, I have been unable to make master, usually unable to shoot in class AAA,but you are on a different level. Just wondering how it translates for you, very nice shooting.

Sure thing. My classifications are:

Smallbore
Standard: AAA (one master score)
Hunter: AAA (two master scores)

Air Rifle
Target: AAA (one master score)
Sporter: Master
Open: AAA (no master scores)

My 10-score running average for smallbore is right at a 27/40 for both Standard and Hunter. (I shoot the same Anschutz rifle in both.)

I have been working hard at refining my position (both stance and hands) as well as focusing on good follow-through on my shots. I'd say I'm around 70% good follow-through versus not. Poor follow-through for me means about a 50% chance I'll miss what I'm aiming for.

The other thing that may help for these 25/50-yard scores is I like to be at the range first thing in the morning, 8am, right when they open up. I usually have the range all to myself for at least an hour before anyone else might show up. It's really nice having absolutely no distractions.

EDIT to add: After shooting the 25/50-yard targets I met my friend for three 40-shot practice silhouette matches. I shot a 28, a 31, and a 23 (got tired and sloppy).

I don't know what else I can say other than I've been working hard at it and I feel like it's finally paying off. Hope that helps.
