Just picked this one up yesterday.

2004 model 452 Varmint NIB from my LGS that had it (& 1 other; also mine!) in the back of the storeroom for the past 8 years. The 2nd one is a 2005 Parker Hale model with a full length varmint barrel (21") but threaded for suppressor. It will go to my best friend back in Norcal.

Put a Vanguard Equalizer 1QS 6"-9" bipod on & also grabbed some Warne 7.3/22 QD rings in med. The Leupold VX-2 4-12x40 AO scope should be here in the next day or so. Can't wait to give it a thorough cleaning & get some rounds down range!

Here's my two HM2's a 10/22 Sporter conversion and a Savage MKII. I really like this round. It has replaced a lot of my former .22lr hunting.

The Savage has a Sightron SII 6x24 scope. I took off the scope that was on the 10/17 because I thought it was too big...not sure what I'm going to put on it now.

My 10/17 stock is OEM. The Savage is a Richards "seconds" AA claro "Rollover" that was about $75. It was the first stock I got from Richards and was the first time I ever bedded a stock. Some day I'm going to put DIP on it.

After years of owning this one and it not getting used, it's going to a new home with a fellow RFC member.

Sold the stock and 17 Mach 2 barrel and bolt handle a few weeks ago now it's a .22 again.

I am now 17 Mach 2 less.

The forearm with attaching hardware!!!

The butt stock and aluminum butt plate!!!

The one piece scope base with the above described scope!!! Even though it said it would work for octagonal barrels I had to file the underside of the one piece base perfectly flat in order to have a reliable installation!!! And I had to file an extra cross notch in the base to allow me to move the rear ring all the way to the end of the base. The base came with four 8x40tpi screws but I only installed 3 as I don't anticipate the recoil to be severe enough to warrent the 4th screw!!! Besides this way I didn't damage any of the original rollmark on the barrel!!!

And the whole thing!!! Sure hope it shoots as pretty as it looks!!!

Now to start wringing it out!!!
God Bless, Frank.
Every time I look at this rifle...I say to myself...that is one of the coolest darn .17hm2 rifles I have seen! Great job .
