Recommend a Savage rifle
I’m looking at Savage rimfire rifles, boy lots of models.
Would you recommend a bolt action rifle model for an adult, tight grouper, decent trigger, good for offhand, bipod, and off bags.
How does your recommendation compare to CZs generally with everyone shooting the ammo the guns shoot best.
Thanks!

I have a Mark II FVSR and am very happy with it. It shoots better than me with Center X and shoots fairly well with CCIsv.

Savage Mark II TR
My Mark II is set-up very similar to the TR, but doesn't have the fluted and threaded barrel -

Based on my experience with a FV-SR I can't recommend a new Savage. Maybe I just got a bad one but it has enough annoying little things that I don't like that I'm done with Savage.

My B17 has worked flawlessly and accurate to boot, the trigger is fantastic. The flush mounted rotary magazine is a big plus too. There’s even a $50 rebate on the B series rifles right now.

I would never recommend a new Savage, go with a CZ.

Highly pleased
I have an fvsr, it does all I ask of it
Light weight, Minute of squirrel, I don't worry about bumps and scrapes in the woods.
Just put a Mask can on it, it will hit 2" steel at 50 and steel torso at 225 no problem.
It uses cci Supressors just fine.
Money well spent in my case.

Thanks guys. I’ve got some models to look at.
I’ve got a CZ 452, it’s had some bedding and trigger work - it shoots ok but I expected better.
Oh God here it goes: I think CZs are over rated

New Savage "minimalist" 93 looks good. Nice looking stock, .22, .22mag, and 17hmr.

Thanks for catching that, glad I got mine prior!
I’m surprised I don’t see more mention of the B series rifles, the people I know that have them love them and the prices are fantastic Starting around $220 depending on the features.
I love my CZ 457 but it was also $400+ and they don’t make it in left hand. It’s also not anymore accurate than the savage.
