Mark ll 22/45 maintenance

I have a 22/45 that I purchased the day I turned 21 (now 40). When looking at the extractor and striker I see enough wear to know that it’s nearly time to replace them. My question is does the group recommend an aftermarket part or factory Ruger? And if aftermarket which one? Also if anyone has a link to a good schematic of the mark ll 22/45 I would appreciate it.

The Ruger parts are fine but I do like the VQ extractors. I cannot say they are better but I have had good luck with them. I have one with ~50k rounds on the extractor.

This is the site I used to learn to detail strip the 22/45, not that you need to fully disassemble it to replace those 2 parts: https://guntalk-online.com/2245detailstripping.htm

I put the VQ striker and extractor in my 10/22 I expected the parts for the 22/45 to be good to go also but it’s nice to have it confirmed by others. I wanted the schematic to partially disassemble the trigger group to do some thorough cleaning that is well overdue.

Ditto the above. I also like the VQ "tool steel" firing pin as well.
