Beretta Olympia rifle

I am on a mission to find one of these rifles at an affordable price. I have been looking for some months now and the one I did find was sold literally minutes before I found it. This search has almost become an obsession!!

If anyone has a lead on one for sale could you give me a heads up via PM?

That is a very good question.

Trying to find a market value trend is nearly impossible since most of the sales seem to have been some time ago, so are either not really valid because of inflation or the price is not posted for a closed transaction. On the other hand there doesn't seem to be much demand for this rifle, which may be a result of it being relatively unknown or, more likely, it is not "tacticool" enough for todays market.

I am an "Old School" walnut and blue steel gun guy and some of these unusual rifles are of great interest to me. The uniqueness of this model is intriguing to me and I won't be satisfied until I have had a chance to own and shoot one. I'm an old guy and have reverted to my childhood in as much as 90% of my shooting these days is rimfire rifles from my youth in the 50s.

I suppose the best answer would be, it depends on how motivated the seller is to sell and how badly I really want what is offered. Needless to say if the seller thinks the rifle is a direct descendant of a Beretta SO10 and values it as such, he and I have nothing to discuss.

I obtained one a little over a year ago from a online dealer that had gotten a few in. Biggest issue is the lack of available magazines. You may be stuck with only the one that comes with the rifle.

Iíll keep my eye open in case I see any show up.

Don't know if this helps as regards setting a value, but about a year ago I bought a 1952 dated Olimpia in the UK for 150 pounds. A few scratches on the forend but otherwise in good condition with original blueing overall, and accurate.

I was lucky and picked one up about 3 years ago. It was in unissued condition with the hang tags still. Found an extra 10 round mag on eBay. I still need to get it out and see how it shoots. E1E3A066-BAAB-4A36-933E-BF8FA2D9ACC0_1575951845576.jpeg
Sorry, can’t figure out how to correct the pictures orientation.

Could you please let me know the date code of the Proof Mark? I am wondering when it has a retail price of 42,500 italian lire, just to input that sum in an inflation calculator and see how much would it cost today.

Olympia rifle

I would like to own one of the Olympia .22 rifle's as well. Jaqua's Fine Guns recently got one in at a listed 500.00. I as well do not know the value today but I read somewhere that J&G Sales sold some for 399.00. The one at Jaqua's I passed on because someone had refinished the stock and inlaid some wood diamonds and the front sight is missing. Also it is one of the earlier versions. I agree, an intriguing rifle.
