Yaaay!! Not my favorite color but that's okay... I'm planning on waiting it out anyhow. I do like the design though.

Spec sheet calls it Bronze but to me it looks more Copper.

You knew it would have to be pretty quick. They only have the Mark IV on their web site now. So they have to start producing all the models again I would imagine.

I've been putting off buying a 22/45 lite and now see the mark IV version is available so i was thinking the older version's price would drop.

Doesn't seemed to have happened.

I realize the assembly benefit of the mark IV but are there any other improvements or perhaps negatives as compared to the outgoing version?

I sure like the MKIV Hunter. I don't see anything that it has that is a negative in comparison to the MKIII. I just wish the Hunter model had a threaded barrel for a suppressor.

Other improvements are the ambidextrous safety (I'm left handed) which is far more accessible than the older model safeties for either hand and the ability to "sling shot" the slide without having to depress the bolt catch. I also have a 22/45 Mk II and see absolutely no downside to the MkIV compared to it except the magazine disconnect which is reasonably easy to remove and isn't nearly as obtrusive as it is on the MkIII.

There is a place with with new Mk III 22/45 at $259, cash price. They dont do internet or ship, but; if one shop has them then other places should be able to match if they want to.

Yes, the loading indicator has been eliminated on the Mk IV and while it could be removed on the III it left a hole in the side of the receiver that needed to be plugged. Good riddens. This is significant.
