Yah, ejection port is right, the receiver def isn't cracked.
And since its the 2nd page, you wont have to see my pictures, but I'll resize if I add any more. I like high res, gives much more detail for technical stuff like this.

Hmmm..., looking at the picture, it is kinda suspicious.
Now you've got me worried.
I'll try to get a pic up when I get back to the rifle and find out if thats a crack.

If it is cracked I would send it back to Ruger and see what they do. I'll bet that they will give you a new receiver.

Yeah, I'd insist on it. There's no way that could be anything but a casting fault. I still don't believe it, but the picture is confusing.

It is a rough casting at the ejection port! The flat spring look's like a trigger re-set spring.

looks to me like it needs to be striped down completely and scrubbed good, little polish, stock can be saved with work, as far as the trigger what you have there is a genuine HELL-FIRE trigger i think you did pretty good if you didn-t over pay

I was just thinking that looked like a Hell Fire Trigger! I think they're easy to remove and nothing internal was removed to install it if I remember right from descriptions - never owned one.

Photos don’t have to be large to be high resolution. Take a peak at my photos in the thread I’m going to link to that I created when I bought a 10/22 for $149 about 3 months ago. Yours actually looks more abused than mine was. Mine cleaned up real nice. The bolt was so dirty, my hands turned black just handling the bolt. Cleaned it, and polished it, still have more work to do, and the gun almost looks as good as new, and shoots wonderful.
Here is the thread. Photos on the first two pages of the thread. https://www.rimfirecentral.com/forums...d.php?t=304912
