I finally broke down and ordered one yesterday and hope to have it in a week. I was waiting on the tube version but Marlin never produced them. I looked at Savage and CZ but kept coming back to the Marlin. Now I’m shopping for a scope to put on it. The only changes I may make it is a Boyd’s stock and maybe cut a couple inches off the barrel. The barrel cut would make it more easier to move around. Once in my hands I may do nothing to it.

I picked up my Marlin today and was very impressed with the quality of it. I will mount the scope and sight it in this week. I have brands of ammo to try out and see what she likes. I’ll keep y’all posted.

I bought one 3 years ago...

Seabreeze - I bought one new 3 or so years ago. Shot it once at the range to sight in the scope and it did well as I remember with several different brands of ammo I had on hand that day. I cleaned it and put it in the safe and it hasn't seen the light of day since. Just too many things going on and other latest, must have firearms! I too was thinking along the lines of a Boyds stock and shorter barrel. This one really seems to be a better way to go for me, but I truly just don't need it. Lately it seems, I'm finding something I like for a need that doesn't exist, but here it is anyway!
