Question Burris Droptine and Ruger 77/17

Log in to see fewer ads
G'day all,

Can anyone please advise if the current model Burris Droptine 4.5-14x42 fits the Ruger 77/17 in 17HMR in standard rings?

Burris Droptine-riflescope-4.5-14x42mm

It is this model - 24" heavy barrel.

Thanks!

I don't think it will. I have high rings on my 77 Predator 6.5 Creedmoor. That scope barely clears on it. The bell is appreciably larger than most 42's. It's a great scope, especially for the price Natchez is selling them for now.

Yes, I think it's a great scope too! Had one in medium rings on a CZ 455 American.

I won't be able to take advantage of the Natchez offer unfortunately, I don't think they post to Australia.

Dicko.

Gday all,

Ended up going with a Burris Fullfield E1 4.5-14x42. Should be able to get it mounted in #4 rings.

That is what I have on mine- the side focus eliminates the AO adjustment ring that would get in the way.

Itd fit in #4 ring but for the power adjustment ring, might try an extension ring as I do need to bring the scope back a little for eye relief.
