I've had a few Salvage accu triggers, the Ruger can easily and safely be brought to a lighter pull weight, it is just a better design, as is the whole rifle.

I've had several of both the Savage and Ruger. I'll take the Ruger if having to chose. It just feels better. I'm one that just removes the trigger spring and let's the "blade" spring do the work. It works great. I do my own work and take my own responsibility for it.

I love my Trigger! I did take it out and polish it and cut a coil or two off the spring. It breaks right around a crisp pound. I did the same with a few Americans I own. It’s about a 15 minute operation. Did the same on my savage 220 gauge.

Ace hardware has a big supply of springs for about $.12 each. A lot of times Iíll go buy three or four different ones and try them out. And Iíll have a good excess supply of them in my gun Supplies/tool box so I donít have to make a run every time I get a new toy.
