I have a Cooper Anschutz, curious if anyone has one, not certain how many were built, any info would be appreciated. I have owned this gun for years, only have shot it a few times, but it is beautiful

I've owned two of them. One with claro, and one with French, inletted swivels and a Niedner. The first one went to someone on GB. The second one, still unfired, went to a member of rfc. (Wonderful rifles, but not to worry-I had LeRoy Barry of Canyon Creek custom stocks, who was the designer of the C/A stock and head stockmaker at Cooper at that time, build me a number of Anschutz sporters with better wood and more options)
I believe that 250 were built. Most were 22lr. A few 22 mags and hornets were also made.

No.
The timeline was: Model 36
Model 57 (which was just a refined 36 action)
Both the 36 and 57,( only about fifty 57s were made) have a short three piece bolt, which left something to be desired and were discontinued. Needing a product to sell, Anschutz 1700 series actions were stocked by them.
After that run,
the 57M was developed, based loosely on the Anschutz action.

I am dirt common folk. Just put too much money into rifles and occasionally shotguns.
