I thought the eley ammo had blue tips but the box I was shooting today looked like purple tips. I'm wondering if the plastic is changing color over time. rc

I'm thinking oxidation. Not sunlight or heat. I'll have to scrape one and see. They are over 10 years old at this point.

I tried to scape one. I think they are pretty much purple the whole way rather than the blue that's on the box. I think they were darker blue when I bought them. There may be a color change over time.

My Eley looks purple, but my memory is that they were always purple.

It's been so long.... I can't remember how they looked so I found a dated picture online. I think they were blue.... I think there is some aging of the plastic tips.
