Nice old rifle, your Granddad had good (and expensive) taste back then.
I have a pretty nice Pre Laudendsak stock per A slow lock 1927 52 coming soon. All original including that hard to find shark fin front sight. No Lyman Super Target scope though .No 'crack of doom either.
I can't hardly wait to get it.

To be a bit more specific, according to Houze's book, 17188 was made on 3 January, 1929.
