Gilbert's Weihrauch posting was timely for me. I've mulled over a new .22LR for the past several months trying to figure out what I really wanted. Considered various brands then focused in on the LA101, 457 MTR and the T1X. Even thought about building up a rifle from various other brands (new stock, new trigger, etc.). Finally concluded I should go for something a bit more exotic. The Annie 1727F straight pull really caught my eye, but that was too much coin.

So I ordered a rifle similar to Gilbert's HW66 but in the thumbhole version. I'm not sold on the thumbhole, but I like the idea of the more vertical pistol grip. It should arrive next week. It'll be a while before I get a scope on it and try it out.
