Would $180 for a near mint condition 99m1 be reasonable? Got offered 2 tonight 1 near mint $180, 1 with noticeable wear but functional for $160. I don’t have any pics.

Yes, either if they have the rear sight on the receiver. Those little sights go for 100++ bucks these days alone.

Both have the rear sights. I haven't seen either in person yet. But I have dealt with the guy that has them before and trust his description to be correct. Hopefully I will get to look both over in the very near future.

If they both have the rear sights and are in the condition described I would sprain my wrist pulling my wallet out so fast to buy both.

The Mint one could go for $350(I've seen beautiful wooded ones without rear sight go for over $450 on gunbroker) and the other one for $200-$250.

Thanks for the responses, I may very well get both. I really didnít know these had this sort of value! The guy that has these has two NIB, that one reason he offered me a deal on these two. Heís also a huge Ruger fan, but likes rimfires of all makes.

Wow. I'd bet those would sell close to 4 figures if you got a couple collectors bidding. IIRC the highest 989M1 I've seen sell on Gunbroker was close to 700.00. It was "like new" but had been shot. Beautiful stock. It had the box and all the stuff that came with it. Like a time capsule.

I doubt this guy would sell them, heís not known for selling much mostly buying LOL! Seriously, he is a good friend and has made me some great deals occasionally. Of course I have returned the favor! He and I both suffer from a pretty serious rimfire addiction.

I may leave it "in the white" for now. I know it is supposed to be like an M1, but it really doesn't look any thing like an M1, LOL. Just sayin.
