S&W has decided to divest. Maybe someone with enthusiasm and the resources for the brand can take TC in a forward direction.

Never did understand why they bought them in the first place! They tried very hard to wreck the product!! Now the only parts will be tear downs, an after markets!! Too bad, excellent products!!

This is one where I'll be holding my breath hoping for the best. As noted by others S&W never really seemed interested in T/C and didn't do anything with it. Hopefully it's next owner has an actual interest in T/C and it's former market niche.

Well, I'm afraid that my firearms budget is all spoken for this year. Someone else needs to step up to the plate.

Well I don't have that kind of a budget. I thought I was doing good just to buy a TCR22 from the Performance Center.

Smith introduced the T/CR22 which is a GREAT firearm.

Yeah, as along time fan of TC over the years, hate to see it come to this. Not surprised, though, given that the market for single shot hunting guns is only a ghost of what it once was. I'm surprised S&W kept TC for as long as they have.

From what I understand, S&W bought the original TC mostly for their barrel making equipment.

Perhaps Ruger. They had a problem with the TC-22.

It seems like there's still a lot of value to TC as a going concern. Hopefully too much to let it dissolve. The muzzle loader business has always done well. The single-shot platforms are low volume, but are relatively inexpensive to make, yielding good margin.

I bet someone will buy it, and continue marketing a portion of the product line. Time will tell.

Yes, I reserved one Oct 2019. SSK also offers spare parts. They were having problems securing a foundry to produce the frames.
