NEW "SHOES" FOR MY SS

Log in to see fewer ads
I'm looking to replace the factory "shoes" on my SS with these from Altamont. Does anyone happen to have a set on their shooter? I'm wondering how the fit and feel is, a Pic would be great. BTW, I shoot the .22 GP well, but the SS is where my heart is. Thank you!

There are a couple of different frame sizes for the Ruger Single Six (and the Blackhawk as well), depending on when your gun was made, and if it has a steel or aluminum frame.

Make sure what you have before you order, and some minor fitting may be required.

Smile Altamont grips............

I have a set of the Altamont grips on a S&W K22 that fit the gun well and are comfortable to hold. Price was reasonable and shipping was fairly quick. Try them, you will like them!

A re-check of the picture reveals that the OP has a New Model Single-Six, every one of which AFAIK were issued with the XR3-RED grip frame.

Gorgeous grips! My gun has the XR3 Red grip frame. It's just an "infant " at just 13 years old with well over 75,000 rounds and never a problem. It's as tight as when new and smooth as silk. I do baby it though.

Altamont has grips advertised to fit the Wrangler on sale today! I got these for $25.00 shipped! I just hope that they fit my SS well.

The new "shoes" arrived! I couldn't be happier. Thicker than the factory rosewood grips which is what I was hoping for. Fit is pretty darn good.
