I just brought home a new Kimber Rimfire Target (the dedicated .22LR version of the Kimber 1911). I don't recall any discussion about the Kimber Rimfire Target here, but I suspect some of you may have one (or more ). I'd appreciate any comments re your experience with this pistol.

Doug

Doug,
I don't have the pistol, but I do have the conversion kit for my Pro Carry II TLE (LG). I have to shoot HV ammo in it, because I'm not changing the hammer spring, but other than that, I find that the combination of steel frame and aluminum upper gives me a very comfortable and accurate pistol.

I'd like to get a dedicated Rimfire Target Deluxe, along with a matching 1911, but that would be a bit on the spendy side.

Gary

I had one and also the conversion unit. Both shot extremely well. Kept both until I bought a Colt Gold Cup and a Colt Conversion Unit. A friend of mine got both and enjoys them now.

Just picked up a Kimber Rimfire Super Target and haven't fired it yet. Seems like the ammo recommendation here is high velocity, so that's what I'll be using.

I use CCI mini-mag. Seems to like anything with a "round" nose.

I had to take a jewellers file to the area where the fireing pin hits the barrel. It puts a dimple here and tends to cause the spent casing to hang. This is perhaps due to the fact that the slide does not stay back on the last round and you pull the trigger on an empty chamber.
