Kimber Rimfire Target

I just brought home a new Kimber Rimfire Target (the dedicated .22LR version of the Kimber 1911). I don't recall any discussion about the Kimber Rimfire Target here, but I suspect some of you may have one (or more

). I'd appreciate any comments re your experience with this pistol.

I don't have the pistol, but I do have the conversion kit for my Pro Carry II TLE (LG). I have to shoot HV ammo in it, because I'm not changing the hammer spring, but other than that, I find that the combination of steel frame and aluminum upper gives me a very comfortable and accurate pistol.

I'd like to get a dedicated Rimfire Target Deluxe, along with a matching 1911, but that would be a bit on the spendy side.

I have one and I love it
way more accurate than my old 22/45
just use HV ammo and you will be fine

I had one and also the conversion unit. Both shot extremely well. Kept both until I bought a Colt Gold Cup and a Colt Conversion Unit. A friend of mine got both and enjoys them now.

Just picked up a Kimber Rimfire Super Target and haven't fired it yet. Seems like the ammo recommendation here is high velocity, so that's what I'll be using.

Try Federal AutoMatch.

I use CCI mini-mag. Seems to like anything with a "round" nose.

yeah lead round nose 40 grain

I use CCI bulk and it works just fine though after a few hundred rounds it will have problems but what rimfire auto wouldn't

Just picked up one as well.... Mostly to make range trips a little less expensive. havent had a chance to try it out yet...is there anything i should know?

I had to take a jewellers file to the area where the fireing pin hits the barrel. It puts a dimple here and tends to cause the spent casing to hang. This is perhaps due to the fact that the slide does not stay back on the last round and you pull the trigger on an empty chamber.
