Always Impressed

With New Year approaching I thought I'd send a cast off note to everyone. So impressed with the fantastic shooting across the board.

Also, I purchased some Eley Club and got to the range last week. No entry though. There were no 25Yd lanes available, so my wife and I shot 3 shot groups (Green [email protected] 15/row) to see what the Club ammo would do. I'm not going to bother with pics, however I'll say that the new ammo seems awesome.

Still working on my setup (might need to get a scissor jack ), so I was all over the place. Looking forward to some refinements and the Spring when all this starts over again.

Have a great New Year!!!

All the best,
Peter

Is a CZ 457 MTR permitted for these matches? I am looking at one and these matches look like a lot of fun. Have a safe and happy New Year everyone!

There are 457s currently in the competition. You need to go back to the first page of this thread and carefully read through the first post which gives all the particulars about the matches. The main thing you will have to be cognizant of is the weight limit of 9 pounds or less for your whole setup. Hope things work out for you and we will see you in April when we resume matches.

Dang Eric...... what do you thing was going on with a 6? Bad round? Normally if someone is on a roll, like 10X they aren't gonna throw a 6.

Yep LT - you would think a 6 would be tough to do but I managed it; on the last bull to boot. Target pic below is oriented the way I mount it BTW. Maybe it was trigger jerk but I shoot with my index and thumb placed behind the trigger guard - otherwise not even touching the rifle. So kind of hard to jerk. I always assumed it was ammo on shots like this.

Had to have been a squib round. That's a bummer. Still a great target.

WOW

I am new to shooting and am amazed at the results I see posted here. It really gives me something to work for and enjoy seeing the posts. Unfortunately, my new CZ 457 Varmint Precision Chassis is over the weight limit but it still gives me a goal knowing what is possible. Thanks. Pipes1

Another year has come to a close. As always, it has been fun and interesting as far as the matches go. I can't say it has been a "fun" year overall for everyone but it has been interesting.

It has been good to see some folks posting new personal best scores. Hopefully, as we continue to shoot we will be able to enjoy more of these successes and continue to encourage each other and improve. That's what this game is all about.

Here's hoping that everyone stays safe over the off season and will be ready to slay more Green Monsters this April when we resume. Till then, please stay active on the forum and let us all know how you are doing, the new toys you acquire and the super deals you find on ammo. LOL.

The usual disclaimer is, if you see a mistake in the scoring as posted, please let me know and I will correct it immediately.

Congratulations to Clem-E for the high score for the month. Fine shooting.
