Early No. # 3 Peep sight

I have never come across one of these early peep sights, found a few parts and pieces for them. But never a complete sight.

I'm assuming this version didn't last long, as the receivers and bolts starting getting bigger in diameter once the No. 30,40,42,44 and 46 came along and probably the model R. They needed a longer windage assembly to allow for more adjustment.

I had an extra short windage stem, so I put it to use. The short stem will not work on the models I mentioned above, just to short and will probably end up stripping out the few threads holding it eventually.

So you're the guy that beat me out on eBay? I recognize that as the older style and I'm happy to see that it went to someone who also recognized it and appreciated it. Maybe next time for sure.

Sorry Chris, but it was not me. This is one I made, the only thing original on it is the windage arm. The full loop one is an all original sight.
