The Vostok with the side mounted rear sight is the called a Ural?

Sometimes yes but in my case no, With Russian .22 target rifles semantics/nomenclature get complicated. MY Ural has a top mount and my CM-2 has a side mount.

Anyone know if the Century Urals have the grooved top receivers? Tried calling they were not much help, did not really want to talk since I am not an ffl holder.

My Century imported Ural has a top mount and a Anschutz like rear sight. The big problem with Century sales and what they know about their wares is that the rifles are in Vermont and they are in Florida.
