Is the Model 1 in the target stock yours as well? If so, I am very curious about the front globe sight. Can you give any info on that? Is it a whole unit? does it have an adapter for the front sight?

Thanks,
DW

Nice rifles.

Too bad they weren’t listed on RFC.

Thanks,

It’s an adapter that mates the standard Brno front globe from a Model 3/4 to the more common front sight base found on the Brno Model 1/5. I purchased a couple sets from Denny a while back and have been quite happy with them. I believe the adapter is aluminum similar to the adapters for the CZ 452, and I think I even have a couple spares that are not painted/ coated.

My father and I actually used this set up on his arsenal converted Model 1 single shot rifle over the holidays. We had a great time!

I didn't know such a beast existed for the M1/5. I've seen a couple of attempts that are pretty bulky...that was the route I likely would have gone with if I actually got around to making my own.

I sent you a PM BTW...

The Model 3S “Stecher” sold for $2000.

The Model 1 with Klinsky target stock and Brno target sights went for $600.

Both went to the same person. I hope it was someone on this forum.

Brno 3S

Keep in mind that once the buyer pays the buyer's commission (15%) and shipping he will have $2400 invested. This is if the shipping charges are reasonable. Some of the small auctions use "mailrooms" and other vendors to ship the items to the FFL holders and sometimes the charges are a bit much. I paid $130 to ship a 6 1/2 pound shotgun in my last "successful" auction - the other vendor suggested wanted $190.

Should the buyer live in California, many FFLs charge $100 transfer/DROS (dealer record of sale) fee plus $145 sales tax; increasing the investment to $2645 or more.
