You would be better off buying a anschutz 1712 and a Leupold scope. If money is the problem then the cz 455 is good. Drop in a Timney trigger and put a Leupold scope on it.

I found that is the drawback of semi-auto in silhouette matches also. In fact, my 54MR single shot was never a handicap in silhouette.

Shooting 'games' (any of them) is all about the discipline to control the shots.
Pick your platform and make it happen.

If I could just throw in my two cents.
Years back when I got into shooting, and I was asking about what rifle/mods/etc.
The old timers all said, don't worry about what gun to build/buy. Get a rifle and spend your money on ammo- practice-practice-practice.
Build the skills, then build your gun.

Truer words were never spoken. When I started into silhouette I was using my old 10/22 carbine. With a reliable 12X scope and weekly practice I managed to work up to high AA scores using it in both classes.

Planning on bringing it out of retirement with a Brimstone Trigger, Green Mountain 16'' heavy barrel, Gunsmither V block, and a Boyds Blaster stock - just waiting to get time to assemble the parts and pieces
