Just curious, does everyone here have their 97,000,000 rounds stashed for the next .22 shortage?

I'm getting older and not shooting as much as before, so, i'm figuring that about 27,500 rounds should be enough for me.

When the price went so high (last shortage) every company maxed production and I think the supply pipeline is finally full.
Sale prices seem to be better than ever and still going down.

I'm keeping around 5K on hand and thankful that I don't have to shoot that Remington *hi* anymore.

I have about 7 cases and I shake my head at that. Im 42 and until 2012, I always bought a brick when I needed one, about once a year.
That changed in 2013. I found RFC,Eley and a bunch of knowledge about SV ammo.
I bought a brick if ELEY SSHP for about 100.00 shipped. Once I saw the groups, iy made the price easier to swallow, considering a box of CCI SV was 10.00 if you could find it.
Early last year, I bought a case of CCI SV and a few more followed throughout the year. I bought a couple cases of RWS Rifle Target at 250.00 delivered, because it shoots really well out of 4 rifles. Two cases of RWS SSHP followed.
I have a son who will be 4 in November. I dont want to be short, when the time comes he wants to go shooting.
I saw fathers with their youngsters, looking for 22LR ALL THE TIME, during the shortage...

I keep enough on hand to make casual shooters think I may be a little strange, and non shooters dont need to know because you cant explain this stuff to them.
I don't plan on running low to the point I feel like I need to ration ammo.
I have a 9 month old son and a 5 year old daughter, and love to shoot. I plan on having a shooting sports family as they reach a maturity level that suits. My goal is to never say "sorry we cant shoot today because I couldn't find any ammo".

Couple more boxes of my favorite tree rat ammo and I'm good until my next reincarnation.

I've restocked rimfire for about 10 yrs worth...but .223 is not even close and I'm building that stash now.

The last shortage I didn't HAVE to buy rimfire but came close and bought some high priced bulk at a gun show...right after that the shortage stopped.

That's the best I've heard it put!

I'm pretty comfortable, but I'll probably put in a couple more cases before the end of fall. Didn't have to panic last time, and don't want to in the future.

What I don't shoot goes into my coffin prior to cremation. Out with a bang.
