Is there anyone who uses thermal optics on their rifles? Is it a good choice for hunting? I bumped into this site https://www.prgdefense.com/ recently and decided to try it someday but I want to get some testimonials.

I'd research the hunting regulations wherever it is that you live to see if the thermal optics are even allowed for hunting. They aren't in many states. It would be a shame to spend the dough and then have nowhere to go.
