I am sure I can spend less than $1000 on glass and be very satisfied with the scope but I am looking for more than satisfaction. I want to look at my rifle and also see a beautiful scope sitting on top of it and not just a highly functional one. That said, it certainly needs to be highly functional otherwise its just expensive glass for the sake of being expensive - which IMHO is stupid.

As far as needs go, I plan on only shooting at paper in the prone position and I do not see myself competing in matches anytime soon, if ever. I was going to put a Vortex HD Razor 4.5-27x56mm on it but the Christmas tree reticle is too distracting for me. Since it is a Vudoo, I would like the scope to also perform like a champ out to 300 yards (or even more).

I would love suggestions for a high-end scope to put on my rifle that is in the $2-3K range.
This may be worthy of your new rifle.

Tangent Theta is the best but don't like their parallax adjustment starting at 50 yards for a 22 rimfire.
25 yard start would be better.
For the money, I would prefer Zero Compromise to TT.

Did I miss whether the OP has a gloss or matte preference for 22rf precision mortar lobbing?

Nightforce

I have a Nightforce Competetion mounted on my Remington 40xb

I absolutely love it, I don't know how a scope could get much better!!!

When they were clearing them out, I purchased several extras for spares. Only have one left that isn't mounted. Most of my scopes are the Leupold VX-2 series. Very nice scopes for the money at the time. Usually around the $400 range.

I have been hearing good things about the Zero Compromise Optics 5-27x56mm. Parallax goes down to 25m. I'm not sure about the MPCT3 reticle, though. The MPCT 2 appears more intuitive.

From whom? The guy at Snipers Hide, where ZC signed up to pay the big bucks to be a sponsor?

Don't mind me if I stick with NF.
