Very happy with this one. Second try with my heavy barrel 52b. Had two 8’s on one bull. Got a little heavy toward the end. I’ll get used to it.

25 yard scoped
SCORE: 454 9X
NAME: RichJ 70
LOCATION: SW Mich
GUN: Sako P94S
SIGHTS: Scope Mueller 8-32 set @ 8
AMMO: CCI Clean, pink polymer coating
INDIV TGTS SCORES:94 2X, 90 1X. 87 2X. 91 2X, 92 2X

First time I picked up a rifle since 4-4-20, decided I hadn’t shot this Sako in sometime. Think this is one of my best scores through glass, usually do aperture.
Earth doesn’t seem to shake as much. That rifle gets heavy QUICK........Oh to be 25 again.

I threw a low 7 on the first bull and an 8 on the third bull. First time getting two 100's on the same set... Pretty happy about that.

I'm going to wait to claim my official entries for the month since we've got one more weekend to go.

Greetings,

finally got back in the game after a long series of medical crap (both eyes got cataracts removed); then this virus business - oh well.

it appears the new eyes helped a bit - maybe even more than made up for the increased wobble zone.

used exact same equipment as before, so can't say anything new equipment wise helped - maybe I'm finally starting to improve???

Greeting everyone. This is my first entry back in the 25 yard offhand match in a few years. Just got too busy to dedicate enough time to practice. Anyway, I'm glad to be back. Looks like the quality of shooting and discourse have gotten even better, and I'm glad to see a few of the old names still on here.

Bob, another 82G in the mix again.

***********25YD SCOPE ********

SCORE: 468-7X
NAME:Purple Bikerr (60)
LOCATION: Yellowstone Lake State Park
GUN: Glenfield Model 60 Squirrel Gun
GUN SETUP: _x_Scope___Irons___Sling
AMMO: SK Standard +
INDIV TGTS: 95-1x, 94-2x, 96-2x, 94-2x, 89-0x

I was testing the SK Standard + in 8 guns. The Model 60 was the last gun I tested and decided to shoot a set. I am pretty happy with the result. It ain't great but not too bad, either.

The gun was wearing a Weaver V-16 with the .223 Ballistic-X reticle. This reticle is too "busy" for my eyes. Shooting it was very distracting. I have never liked this scope and shooting it today was the last straw.

I put a V-24 with a BDC (?) reticle on it when I got home.

Oh my gosh, Terry ! Great to have you back, it has been a few years but always awesome to have one of the early match members rejoin the action here.
Yes we are blessed with some crack shots these days, but we have never lost the Original mission of welcoming all shooters whatever their level.
Same old motto applies- "Winning is When You Set a New Personal-Best"

As a bit of an update and welcome-home present, I am posting your score history below, reading backwards from your last entry in July2016 back to when you joined in June 2014. Apologies for the string of numbers, I am working on a way to get score history's into a better format for everyone.

444-4X 447-4X 433-1X -------- -------- 462-7X 452-4X 456-6X 446-6X 454-5X 450-5X 458-7X 456-7X 444-6X 454-3X 438-4X 446-6X 451-5X 446-3X 460-5X 454-3X 452-5X 454-6X 451-4X 448-6X 430-2X

Bob4BVM

PS-
Glad you're still shooting the 82G, go team Kimber !

Got to shoot with the boys this afternoon, lots of fun.

My irons round was a 438-4x, will not list the ugly details of that one, but it shows that I am too used to shooting alone...

Relatively speaking both of the kids beat me soundly by shooting at or near their current levels:

Hey, welcome back to you too Merle !!!
Glad the cataract thing worked out, I know it helped when I had mine done.
Now if I could just get rid of my wobbles... is there a surgery for that I wonder ?
Cheers,
Bob
