That would be an interesting build for sure. We do not have any that are short barred or suppressed. We have never even discussed such a rifle really. I say bring it on.

Very nice. Couple questions for you. What is the legal barrel length in the UK? And what needs to be done to run a suppressor there?

Barrel length 12" overall length 24"
Moderator has to be on your license same as a firearm thats it ,I got mods on my 14"barrel annie 17 hmr & my 243 Mauser 96 American straight pull.
you can buy air rifle mods with no license & some of these are rated for rimfire......not that any body would ever use one on a rimfire.

I would like to have something like this one. just have the muzzle extend past the forearm by an inch. ain't willing to cough up the $200 SBR tax though.

$200 SBR tax and a $200 Suppressor tax (if your state allows it, here in TN we are allowed to have suppressors).

Then the price of the suppressor. Cost is the ONLY reason I have not done at least a suppressor. Can't afford $200 tax and $400 suppressor just to shoot a rifle I already own.

TN recently passed a bill that allows us to build our own suppressors and not pay tax as long as it is marked "Made in TN" and is never taken out of the state.

Of course BATFE has sent out a letter saying they will arrest anyone that does it. This is the place I want to use words not allowed here at RFC

Nobody wants to be the trial case. BATFE is a Federal bunch and the State of TN sees this as a state's rights thing as BATFE should have nothing to say about it unless it crosses state lines.

We have everything it takes to make the suppressors as far as equipment goes and there is not $25 in materials.

By law we HAVE to have muffler on our lawn mowers but we can't put them on our rifles and/or pistols without paying Uncle Sam his blood money.

It stinks

yeah Vincent I have considered making my own a few times but seeing how I haven't submitted the paperwork or the $200......... I haven't turned the first part for it. maybe one of these days I'll find an extra $200 that I can use somewhere else

I never could understand why in the UK you are encouraged to use one but here its a big deal.
