Tomorrow is opening day of Arkansas squirrel season. All you Arkansawyers be careful out there. Mr. No Shoulders moves kind of slow on these cool mornings. I have the Tikka all set and ready to go and all the clothes sprayed down with permethrin. Let the games begin.

I just put 10 rounds through my NULA. Zeroed at 35 yards. Eley Edge Black SS flatnose.

Ready to go in the AM here in KY. While I've hunted squirrels for more than 55 years, I've never hunted the "early" season. My 42 year son and I will go together. We hunt different sections of the woods.

GOod luck.. Hunting early season is hunting by sight 80 percent of the time. Squirrels eating buds donít make much noise. Maybe if you catch them going to the tree they plan to eat out of. Can be tough hunting. Light wind (forecast) in the morning will sure help you.

Hang in there Ole Hunter and anyone else that has been interrupted with health issues. I'm down right now myself. Hopefully I will be wide open by fall season! I just count my blessings and keep going. Good Luck! I have never really posted in this thread much, but I have been lurking around. I guess maybe it's time for me to jump in, if I'm allowed.

Well said, Al! Behind every great driving force is a squirrel hunter.

Here is my new squirrel gun. I will be taking this to the Shawnee squirrel hunt this year if my schedule allows.

It's a 10/22 takedown with volquartsen barrel and a Kidd 2 stage trigger. Magpul hunter stock. Vortex Razor HD 5-15x42 scope on Leupold QRW rings.

It breaks down pretty well which is the whole point of doing this build on a takedown I guess. I need it to easily fit on my motorcycle.
